Adam Sheehan and Jacqui Moyes, Directors of Anderson Gardner Financial Planning, Partner Practice of St. James’s Place Wealth Management since 2011, found that their business had grown to a level as such where the Paraplanner they had previously used was unable to cope with the level of work.
So, the search began to find Paraplanners who could achieve the level of consistency and had the capacity their growing business needed. They turned their attention to the St. James’s Place Preferred Paraplanners Panel.
A good working relationship from the start
This is where they came across Plus, and were introduced to one of our Directors, Scott Daniels. From the beginning, Adam says, a good working relationship developed, and he found the Paraplanners at Plus to have
‘Better skills, better knowledge, and as a result our QoD scores were better!’
Part of the attraction to the service for Adam was the ability for him and his team to outsource those tasks that, in his words, caused ‘headaches before’.
Outsourcing troublesome tasks
High on that list is the onerous chore of chasing providers for information, something his PSS staff spent lots of time and effort on historically. After a conversation with Operations Manager, Sue McFarlane, Adam discovered that Plus had a team of Administrators on hand to deal with this time consuming, and often frustrating job. Better still, it came as part of the Paraplanning service.
This meant that the productivity of his PSS increased as they no longer had to spend a good proportion of their day on the phone.
The technical knowledge of the Paraplanners means that if any details are missed, the team can quickly go back to the providers concerned, avoiding the need to add any pressure and time constraints to Adam and his staff, with Adam saying
‘The team at Plus have made a significant difference to us.’
The ability to ask an opinion
Adam and Jacqui have been able to build relationships with several of the Paraplanners at Plus, including Claire Delamere, Clare Dale and Eva Crichton. Being able to ask their opinion on cases, and even call Sue to run through a case before handover has been invaluable to them, and something they appreciate.
Most of all, Adam appreciates the simplicity of the process of handing over their cases, and the timely manner in which they are dealt with, ensuring a happy client!
